The 2012 ACM-ICPC Central Europe Regional Contest

Final report

The 2012 ACM-ICPC Central Europe Regional Contest was held on Sunday November 18, 2012. The competition was hosted by Theoretical Computer Science Department at Jagiellonian University in Kraków. We had 77 teams coming from 31 universities from Czech Republic, Croatia, Hungary, Poland, Slovakia and Slovenia. The contest took place at the Faculty of Mathemathics and Computer Science building, starting at 9:30:00 CET and ending at 14:30:00 CET. The online judge used for the contest was our own Satori Contest System.

There was a total of 11 problems to solve. Of those, 10 problems was solved during the contest. Every team solved at least one problem, and the maximum number of problems solved was 10.

The top five teams solved at least 9 problems:

  1. Team Docikáme ďalej from Comenius University: Tomáš Belan, Vladimír Boža, Peter Fulla (10 problems solved, total time 1205 minutes).
  2. Team Jagiellonian 3 from Jagiellonian University: Jakub Adamek, Grzegorz Guśpiel, Jonasz Pamuła (10 problems solved, total time 1304 minutes).
  3. Team uw1 from University of Warsaw: Tomasz Kociumaka, Marcin Andrychowicz, Maciej Klimek (9 problems solved, total time 1012 minutes).
  4. Team uw2 from University of Warsaw: Jakub Oćwieja, Mirosław Michalski, Jarosław Błasiok (9 problems solved, total time 1124 minutes).
  5. Team Uwr1 from University of Wrocław: Anna Piekarska, Damian Straszak, Jakub Tarnawski (9 problems solved, total time 1233 minutes).
